Across The Pyrenees

I am doing the trip of my lifetime, crossing the Pyrenees from West to East starting in Irun on the French/Spanish border to Perpignan in France, dipping in and out of France and Spain as well as a short visit to Andorra, I'm now doing it on my Motovespa TX 200 called Inga as my LML4t 200cc scooter which I was originally planning to do the trip on developed a major fault about 4 weeks prior to my departure date. Luckily I bought Inga as a back up but was having a problem with an aftermarket brake system so left her on the backburner while I concentrated on Medusa (the LML) so the last 3 weeks in my spare time I have been rushing around working on her, ordering parts and spares for the trip. I will be taking lots of twisty roads and mountain slopes that are known to be arduous. There could be rain, snow, forest fires, extreme heat, breakdowns or accidents and by my calculations this journey will cover approximately 1200 miles.
I have been planning this trip/adventure/holiday for a number of years and attempted it once before and failed miserably (long story) I got permission from my job that I could have a long holiday in 2026 and after, while I was driving in my van, all of a sudden I had a thought that maybe I could put my adventure to good use for other people instead of just enjoying myself. So I put it out there and asked a few friends who thought it was a really good idea, so I am raising money for NeST and Shelter with all the money raised being split evenly between them
NeST came to my attention on Facebook after we found out our youngest grandson has Nephrotic Syndrome and that there is no cure for this condition and the treatment for it is really hard and dangerous for such young children. NeST in particular have a tough time raising funds for researching this condition as it is rare and not many people know about it. Governments and the pharmaceutical industries do not bother with rare conditions, illnesses and such, as there is no money in it and there are a great many other things that need research that affect a lot of people eg cancer
Shelter have helped me in numerous ways over the years with good, legal advice when I have had a problem with renting and I know they're money is well spent. There's not a lot more to say about this well known charity but take a look at their website and they'll inform you better than I can.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully you will support my causes
