Six: The Summit

Six intrepid explorers – Lucy, Tess, Amanda, Amanda, Hayley and Mads – are setting off on a Herculean adventure.

Namely, summiting Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. The volcano may be dormant, but its height is punchy at 5,895 metres: the world’s highest freestanding mountain.

Why, you may ask?

Between us, middle age has ushered in brutal, lifechanging adversity - with cancer and dementia affecting our group massively.

We are not off on a jolly! We are walking with purpose. And your sponsorship will fuel every step as we climb. We won’t wash in seven days. No shower, no shampoo, no wifi, no comms! A world away from southwest London and much-needed time out, as we repair, rebuild, reenergise – and drum up as much support for these amazing charities.
