Rufus Lewis's World’s Toughest Row – Atlantic 2026

Hi, I’m Rufus Lewis. In April 2024, I left my career working on superyachts to pursue a dream I’ve carried for years: to row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean Solo in the World’s Toughest Row — a gruelling, nonstop race from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua.

This isn’t just about crossing an ocean. It’s about pushing my physical and mental limits to inspire others, and most importantly, to raise vital funds for young people who need a second chance.

Why I’m Rowing
I’m rowing to raise money for Caudwell Youth, a charity that gives young people the mentor and support system they’ve never had. Through volunteer-led mentoring Caudwell Youth helps young people at risk of crime, exploitation, and poor mental health to turn their lives around.

This race is known as the world’s toughest row for a reason — fewer people have rowed an ocean than have climbed Everest.

How You Can Help
I’m inviting you to be part of this journey. Your donations will go directly towards Caudwell Youth and help create lasting change for young people in the UK.

Together, we can give them the future they deserve.
