The Digital Revolution Awards celebrate those that make the world of cloud technology a better place to live and work, and as part of that, we also want to give back and make the planet a better place. That’s why our events raise funds for charities and good causes around the world, with our US ceremony raising funds for the incredible Climb Hire.

Founded in 2019 by Nitzan Pelman, the organization helps working low-income and overlooked working adults break into new careers by helping equip them with the technical and soft skills needed for entry-level jobs in tech. They also provide a community, emotional support and access to a network of expanded job opportunities—something crucial in today’s job market as up to 85% of professionals land their job through connections.

Climb Hire’s program revolves around a split curriculum of technical and soft skills training, with an emphasis on networking and building the social capital necessary to reach new opportunities. For people who lack traditional means of gaining skills or social capital, it’s an alternative to an Ivy League-type network.

So far, 80% of people participating in the program have secured new roles within six months of joining it, going from an average annual income of $24k beforehand to an average salary of over $50k after working with Climb Hire. They’ve turned coffee baristas into business analysts and retail associates into Salesforce administrators—giving people across the United States a chance at a more prosperous future.
