Maggs Day Centre
Maggs was founded in 1984 after a homeless man died after years of sleeping rough on the streets in Worcester. Five members of the local church came together in unity to provide sanctuary for the homeless to try to prevent further deaths among local homeless people. They were provided with a small church in Deansway, which, nearly 40 years later, is still the definitive Maggs Day Centre.
