TinyLife are Northern Ireland’s only dedicated premature baby charity here to help provide support services both in the Neonatal Unit and in the community . Our Mission is that a premature or sick baby who starts life in a neonatal unit in Northern Ireland has the best start to life and is supported to reach their full potential.
TinyLife, was founded in 2006, it was born from the relaunch of NIMBA (Northern Ireland Mother & Baby Est 1988) is Northern Ireland’s only dedicated premature and vulnerable baby charity, supporting approximately 1700 babies per year.
We are dedicated to reducing premature birth, illness, disability and death in the six babies born every day in Northern Ireland. We are committed to providing a range of support services in hospital, home and in the community that meet the growing needs of families of premature babies locally.
Our mission is that a premature or sick baby who starts life in a neonatal unit has the best start to life and is supported to reach their full potential from birth to primary school age. TinyLife also supports vital research to ensure every pregnancy has the best chance of a healthy outcome and a healthy baby, and empowers families to work with us collaboratively to influence practice and policy.
TinyLife's work is built on compassion, care and community.
Our services are delivered across all five health and social care trusts beginning with support for parents right at the start of that journey in the neonatal units, to home until they start school.
