About MYTIME Young Carers

Tags:

At MYTIME, we believe that no child’s destiny should be defined by their beginning. That’s why we fight for the rights of young carers to ensure they receive the support, opportunities and friendship that every child needs and deserves.

A young carer is someone between the ages of 5-25 who looks after a family member or loved one who could not cope without their support. Young carers do this unpaid, unseen, and all while navigating the stages of childhood and young adulthood.

Your Impact

MYTIME Young Carers is an award-winning charity that was founded in 2013 with one core belief: that no child’s destiny should be defined by their beginning.

With headquarters in Dorset, we work at a national scale to provide holistic support that addresses the unique challenges young carers between the ages of 5-25 face, empowering them to thrive and be celebrated for all they do.

We do this through our range of programmes, our partnerships, our campaigning, and the research and publication of our reports. Our aim is, and has always been, to change the unfair odds that are stacked against young carers. Everything we do is with the goal of ensuring young carers have the same
opportunities, friendships, enjoyment of life, and learning experiences as their non-caring peers.
