About us

We believe small gestures can make a big difference to the lives of people facing surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment for breast cancer.

Every year approximately 55,000 women and 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK, making it the most common cancer*. We’re on a mission to support them by offering a Little Lifts Box jam-packed with thoughtful items, to help people facing breast cancer treatment. We do this locally (East Anglia) via our hospital partnerships, elsewhere in the UK, we reach people via our Little Kindness Fund.

Thanks to generous support from Spacemasks and The Alborada Trust we are delighted to offer gift Boxes across the UK. The Little Kindness Fund is a discretionary fund for anyone undergoing surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment for primary or secondary breast cancer, living in the UK. The fund enables eligible applicants to receive a Little Lifts Box, free of charge, to support their emotional wellbeing and support them through their cancer treatment.

Why Little Lifts?

In 2014 at the age of 28, founder of the charity Oa was diagnosed with primary breast cancer. What followed was a whirlwind of emotions and medical appointments before she began her chemotherapy treatment. It was a scary time.

Lifting those down days

Leading up to and during her treatment, Oa was fortunate to have a support network of friends and family to help her along the way - lifting those down days with a few little treats to relieve some of the side effects she experienced.

The impact these small tokens had on Oa’s wellbeing was huge, and so the concept of ‘Little Lifts’ was born.

Your Impact

We are a small but mighty charity, gifting over 33,000 Little Lifts Boxes since we were founded in 2017. However, our support goes further than our Boxes! We have an incredible community that is at the heart of what we do. This is why it is important for us to host community events that help to support wellbeing and build connections.
