Time is against families living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). The 4ED Foundation proactively supports those adapting to ever-changing circumstances, helping to relieve the financial pressures that come with it. We are committed to improving the quality of life and independence for families affected by MND by providing grants for essential equipment, home adaptations, and family experiences.
The 4Ed Foundation was established following the MND diagnosis of the former Gloucester & Leicester rugby player Ed Slater, with the vision of creating an inclusive community for families impacted by Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Recognising the unique challenges MND presents, the foundation aims to provide vital resources and support to enhance the quality of life for those affected by MND.
The core purpose of 4Ed is to ease the financial burden on families by raising money to award grants that offer financial assistance and practical support. Through its compassionate approach, the foundation prioritises empathy and understanding, ensuring that every family feels seen and heard as they navigate the difficulties of the disease.
4Ed’s core values of compassion, support, community, and transparency guide its mission. The foundation promises to provide timely and effective help, fostering a sense of belonging among families, carers, and supporters.
