FareShare Greater Manchester, is fighting hunger and tackling food waste locally. Using surplus food that would otherwise go to landfill, we redistribute it to over 300 community groups, supporting 35,000 people weekly, contributing nearly 5 million meals annually to where it’s needed most.
FareShare Greater Manchester, run by environmental charity EMERGE 3Rs, is fighting hunger and tackling food waste locally. Using surplus food that would otherwise go to disposal, we redistribute it to nearly 300 community groups supporting 35,000 people weekly, contributing nearly 5 million meals annually to where it’s needed most.
Every year, we're feeding more than 35,000 people, and saving thousands of tonnes of food from going to landfill. Supporting more than 300 charities across Greater Manchester and beyond, FareShare Greater Manchester is able to prevent food waste and get good food to good causes. From preschools to end-of-life care, anywhere that a hungry person can access food and wraparound support services, we're supplying rescued food.
