At Back Up we inspire people affected by spinal cord injury to get the most out of life. Back Up services include mentoring, wheelchair skills training and activity courses as well as support in getting back to work or school after an injury. We provide peer led tailored support to help people adjust to a spinal cord injury and inspire independence and confidence for a positive future.

Our online support group, the Back Up lounge was attended over 900 times in 21/22
130 family members accessed our family support services, with 98% of family members feeling more supported after joining our family events
Our new and improved virtual Education Inclusion Toolkit has been visited 4,047 times.

could pay for outreach support calls to someone as they adjust to their new life as a wheelchair user - a vital lifeline for people during their darkest hours.

could pay for someone with a spinal cord injury to rediscover their independence and challenge their perception of what’s possible in everyday life through life-affirming indoor and outdoor activities on a confidence-building multi-activity course.
