About Asthma and Allergy Foundation

Tags: Health & Medical Advocacy, awareness & campaigning

Asthma and Allergy Foundation support individuals and families affected by asthma particularly in areas of multiple deprivation. Through education, advocacy, and practical support, we work to reduce the burden of asthma on families and improve quality of life for those managing these chronic conditions.

Asthma is often overlooked but every year in Scotland it devastates lives, causes severe trauma and plunge families into further poverty. In Scotland, even with free inhalers, asthma death rates remain among the highest in the UK/Europe, thousands of unnecessary hospital admissions/deaths, all because of gaps in awareness, education, and access to support. Every preventable asthma death is a failure—not just for healthcare, but for society. AAF is fighting to change this.
