ASSIST works with people in Sheffield who have been refused asylum in the UK. They are evicted from their Home Office accommodation and forced into destitution. We provide our clients with stable, dignified accommodation, regular financial support and a person-centred casework service.

- Supported a total of 112 people from 33 countries
- Provided 86 people with accommodation
- Distributed a total of 750 welfare payments, 85 emergency payments and 389 bus passes, giving a total of £116,109 to destitute people seeking sanctuary
- Held 425 casework appointments
- Successfully helped 72 people access legal advice
- Helped 34 people move on to Home Office or local authority support
- Saw 3 people secure Leave to Remain whilst on our support
