Tingewick Society 2025
We are the Tingewick Society - led each year by group of medical students at the University of Oxford who aim to raise money for Oxford Hospitals Charity and another local charity. This year we are supporting Asylum Welcome. Oxford Hospitals Charity exists to support the strategic priorities of the Oxford University Hospitals Trust in providing the best possible healthcare for its catchment area of around two million people from across the region and beyond - raising standards above the level that NHS funding alone allows. Asylum Welcome is an Oxfordshire based charity, supporting refugees and asylum seekers living across the county. Their mission is simple, ensure that those with a humanitarian need for assistance are safe, feel welcome and can lead dignified lives as included members of the community. The overwhelming majority of our clients have fled some of the most dangerous places on earth, often escaping war, famine, religious and political persecution, and human trafficking.
