As the newly appointed Mayor of Swindon for 2025/26, I am incredibly proud to announce my chosen charities for my Mayoral Year: The Harbour Project and Wiltshire Treehouse.
These two outstanding local organisations are doing vital work within our community, and I am committed to helping them raise much-needed funds and awareness. Please read more about their incredible missions below and consider donating generously to support their efforts.
The Harbour ProjectWebsite: https://www.harbourproject.org.uk/
The Harbour Project provides a safe haven and essential support for refugees and asylum seekers in Swindon. Their work is absolutely crucial in offering a warm welcome, practical assistance, and a sense of belonging to individuals and families who have often experienced unimaginable hardship. They help people rebuild their lives with dignity, offering everything from English lessons and legal advice to social activities and emotional support. Their compassion and dedication embody the very best of Swindon's community spirit.
Wiltshire TreehouseWebsite: https://www.wiltshiretreehouse.org.uk/
Wiltshire Treehouse offers vital bereavement support to children and young people across Wiltshire, including many here in Swindon. Losing a loved one is one of the most challenging experiences anyone can face, and for children, it can be particularly isolating and confusing. Wiltshire Treehouse provides a safe space for them to explore their feelings, connect with others who understand, and develop coping strategies. Their work helps young people navigate grief and build resilience for the future.
Your generous donations will directly support the vital work of these amazing charities, enabling them to continue making a profound impact on the lives of individuals and families across Swindon.
Thank you for your support.
