Thanks for taking the time to visit our fundraising page. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK with 1 woman diagnosed every 10 minutes. Last year both Debbie and I were in that unfortunate position, but wanted to create a positive from our situation so ran our first afternoon tea raising £12,000 for Breast Cancer Now, a charity who continues to support us.
This year, Debbie and I wanted to run another event to raise some further funds for this worthy charity but also for the Cavell Unit (Chemotherapy unit) at Dewsbury Hospital which desperately needs funding to improve facilities for patients to make it a much more welcoming place.
Please come along to our event on the 19th July 2025, from 12.00pm-4.00 at Christ Church South Ossett. It would be great to see you but if you are unable to attend then you can still help by donating to two worthwhile causes.
Join us for a fun and delicious charity event raising money for Breast Cancer Now and MY Hospital Charity! Indulge in a variety of scrumptious cakes and bubbly Prosecco while supporting a great cause. There will also be a plant and book sale, as well as a raffle.
All proceeds will go towards funding vital research and support services for those affected by breast cancer as well as some much needed improvements to the Cavell unit where Debbie went through treatment last year, and I’m currently receiving weekly treatment which is ongoing. I’m determined to see meaningful improvements at the facilities at the Cavell Unit during my lifetime, to support the work of the wonderful nurses who support so many patients at the most difficult time in their lives.
Your sweet tooth and charitable spirit will come together for a truly special afternoon. Don't miss out - let us know you are attending, share and invite your friends and family and help make a difference in the fight against breast cancer!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts (and boobs!), this means the world to us and our families and friends 🩷
