Building on the success of our previous book drives in 2021 and 2023, where we raised over £4,700, Kingsley Napley is excited to announce our third book drive this summer. Our goal is to raise funds to provide five local primary schools with more representative and inclusive children's books.
We believe it's important for all children to see themselves and their friends in the stories they are reading and be able to relate to the characters. We strive to help encourage a world in which all children can see themselves in the pages of a book. Stories can also help children understand and develop empathy for people with different lives and experiences.
Please support us by donating the cost of a book (or two!) so that more children can be inspired by these wonderful stories. Our team will be donating the books to various local primary schools to encourage children to learn about inclusion and diversity.
We plan to deliver the books to our schools this September to coincide with National Literacy Month and Read a New Book Day.
