On Saturday 14th June, Lydia, Isla and Molly are taking on an 8.3 mile sponsored walk along the Diamond Way, from Northleach to Bourton-on-the-Water, to raise money for three charities which mean a lot to them.
Lydia has chosen Back Up, a national charity who aim to support everyone affected by spinal cord injury. Their services include mentoring, wheelchair skills training, family support and activity courses as well as support in getting back to work or school after an injury. They provide peer led tailored support and inspire independence and confidence for a positive future. They are also the only charity in the UK supporting children and young people with a spinal cord injury.
Isla has chosen Linc (Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy Fund), a Gloucestershire-based charity supporting local blood cancer patients. They help ease the financial, emotional, and practical burden of treatment by funding psychological support, emergency grants, clinical trials, and comforts during hospital stays to improve patients well being.
And Molly has chosen Bowel Cancer UK, the UK's leading charity dedicated to saving lives and improving the quality of life for everyone affected by bowel cancer. With nearly 43,000 new cases diagnosed each year, the charity focuses on early diagnosis, access to the best treatment and care, and supporting those affected. Their services include support and guidance, campaigning for change and funding for research.
Any donations you give will mean a lot to the girls and will directly support all of the services these three fantastic charities provide for people living with spinal cord injury and blood and bowel cancers across the UK.
