The Problem:Right now, 50 million people are estimated to be victims of modern slavery and human trafficking. 1 in 3 are children. Most are women and girls. This crime is rising, fuelled by climate change, conflict, and global crises that increase vulnerability worldwide. This criminal industry makes $498 billion every year - and can only be stopped through united, collective action.
Join Us Today:Between May 19th and June 19th, Starling Bank's Risk and Compliance team will be doing team walks from each office for a distance of 19.125km. This number is significant as there were 19,125 potential victims of modern slavery referred to the Home Office in 2024 through the National Referral Mechanism.
Please help us, raise funds, and support STOP THE TRAFFIK and Justice & Care in our mission to dismantle human trafficking networks, support survivors, and drive lasting policy change.
Together, we can create a world where people are not bought and sold and remember #FreedomIsTheFinishLine.
