Community campaigner Phil Cowan (aka @PrimrosePhil) sadly passed away on 23rd March 2025, aged just 57.

Phil was passionate about his community and did much voluntary work, notably for Streets Kitchen in Camden Town. He also fundraised for the Primrose Hill Community Association including helping to launch its On The Hill magazine, which he wrote many articles for. He loved his dogs Rex & Tinkerbell (aka Tinkie) - she was adopted from All Dogs Matter.

Sadly, Phil can no longer give his time and money, but I hope we can continue his good work with this fundraiser in his memory.

Primrose Hill Community Association (PHCA) was formed in 1978, taking control of the Community Centre in Hopkinson’s Place from 1980. We run events, activities, classes and workshops, with the community centre being fully utilised during the week and weekends with activities for babies, children, youth, adults and older people.
