OK, so ...... in January this year I decided I needed to give myself a challenge that could raise some money for charities! Those of you that know me, will know that I have run a marathon or two so I decided to try something very tough and run seven marathons in seven days (before I get tooooo old)!! Mad I know, particularly as I struggled in London last week!! It won't be the fastest ever challenge but hopefully my legs will support me for 7 days
Most of our fundraising has been for Macmillan Cancer, but for this unique challenge I've decided to run for three different charities - Macmillan, Sue Ryder - St Johns Hospice and Bedford Blues Foundation.
Macmillan have always been and will always be very close to our hearts, being there when too many close family and friends needed them most. Cancer can affect your life in so many ways and Macmillan do whatever it takes to give people the support they need . I am also fundraising for St Johns Hospice (Sue Ryder) - who were amazing for my very dear Uncle Ed and very special friend Claire. They provide the most wonderful care and make a positive difference during even the darkest hours. Also, I'm supporting Bedford Blues Foundation - a charity that supports vulnerable children and young adults by inspiring the values of rugby and sport to promote positive lifestyle choices.
I know this is a crazy challenge - and I know it will be tough but hopefully I will be able to raise some much needed funds for these wonderful charities 💚
The challenge starts on Saturday 10th May and finishes Friday 16th May - hopefully with lots of champagne 😂
