I have run in races for 15 years now but it’s always been for my own personal achievement. However, now it’s different. I am racing In memory of my incredible cousin Andrew who was diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer at the age of 36. He fought so courageously for 14 months, undergoing gruelling treatment and surgery but unfortunately he lost his battle in February, leaving behind his wife and 2 young children.
Andrew asked his family to continue raising awareness of bowel cancer and fundraising for the organisations who were of such support to him and his family along his journey.
I will be running/hiking over the summer to raise money for the listed charities. Some will be more of a challenge than others but it will be nothing compared to what Andrew faced.
Events:April: Mersey Tunnel 10k ✅May: Aintree Racecourse 10k ✅ June: Lake District MacMillan Mighty Hike (Marathon distance) ✅ July: Snowdonia Trail 10k ✅ August: Oulton Park 10k ✅
Any support will be greatly appreciated. Thankyou 🙏🏻 Liz x
