I'm counting on your support to win Mx Drag! The most important part of this pageant is the charity fundraising portion. And with all of the proceeds going to Pride Action North and the Charlie and Carter Foundation, you'll be supporting local drag and two very important charities. Pride Action North offers a wide range of support for LGBT+ people across the North of England and beyond. The Charlie and Carter Foundation provides much needed financial support to the families of seriously ill children.
My name is Reese Wetherspooon and I'm just a drag queen doing my best. Competing in Mx Drag has been a goal of mine for a long time. While I'm no stranger to a drag competition, this is a new challenge for me as it's completely different to any other competition I've competed in. With no performance portion, I think this competition will give me a chance to step away from the 'Reese Wetherspooon' character of being wild and un-serious, and showcase the professional hard-working person underneath that no one gets to see. After working closely with a few of the contestants last year by being involved in fundraising and creating runway outfits, I have learnt a lot about the entire process of the competition and what it takes to succeed. I have already done a lot of preparation for this competition, and I am very excited to finally be able to announce all of my fundraising events and showcase my runway outfits. I am ready to put in the work over the next few months and I believe I will be able to raise a lot of money and awareness for the two very important charities.
If 5000 people donated just £1 each, that would probably raise a lot of money!
