The Oban Hospice Dove Centre is a fantastic resource for our community.
It was established in particular to relieve the suffering and distress, and to further the health and wellbeing of people with cancer, their families and carers in and around the area of Oban, Lorn, and the Isles. They also support people with other long term conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinsons Disease, and Motor Neurone Disease.
A few members of the Oban Commercial Lodge No.180, Lodge St Modan No.985, John o'Groat No. 1333, and friends will be attempting the National Three Peaks Challenge this July in order to try and raise some funds for this fantastic resource in our community.
The national three peaks challenge consists of climbing the highest mountains of Scotland, England, and Wales within a 24 hour period.
The total walking distance is 23 miles, with a total ascent of 10,052ft, and a driving distance of 462 miles.
