Paddling with Purpose: Emerge Digital's Charity Canoeing Challenge

Emerge Digital

This March, the Emerge Digital team is swapping keyboards for paddles as we take on a 15-mile canoeing adventure along the River Wye, all in support of our Charities of the Year: The King's Trust, WWT, and Cheltenham Animal Shelter.

Starting in the market town of Ross on Wye, we’ll navigate the Wye Valley Gorge, passing Goodrich Castle and Symonds Yat Rock, before racing to the finish line back at Symonds Yat West.

But it’s not just a day of breathtaking scenery and team camaraderie; it’s a challenge! Each canoe will represent one of our three Charities of the Year, and the winning canoe’s charity will receive an extra £500 donation, courtesy of Emerge Digital.

Our goal is to raise £1,500, which will be split equally between these incredible causes, helping them continue their vital work in our communities and beyond.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Please help us paddle our way to this target and make waves for these wonderful charities.

Thank you for your support!

Twelve team members – plus one fearless mini paddler – braved the River Wye for five hours of paddling, teamwork, and friendly competition. Nigel, Max and our youngest team member paddled to victory for The King’s Trust. Just 100 metres behind, Richard and Ian (representing WWT) took the runner-up spot – though only after pausing mid-race to help the winning canoe get free after running aground! A brilliant day on the water, supporting three brilliant causes. A massive thank you to everyone who supported us and our wonderful Charities of the Year!
