This year to mark my 40th year I am undertaking a number of different challenges that include ( but are not limited to) : a half Marathon a 200mile cycle ride ( the Coast and Castles route which is from Tynemouth to Edinburgh), a mountain trek ( hopefully the Himalayas), and a triathlon. Some of these events as to their location and whereabouts are still to be determined.
A few of these events such as the half marathon and 200mile bike ride are things I've never done before and will require a fair amount of training. Therefore to help me I would like to raise money for three charities close to my heart that are changing peoples lives in some of the most challenging environments around the world. They are: Samaritans Purse UK https://www.samaritans-purse.org.uk/ , Feba UK, https://www.feba.org.uk/ and Centre for Urban Mission ( under the name AMADET) https://amadetdevelopment.wordpress.com/. Please check out their websites for more details or ask me personally as I would love to share their work with you. I will be covering all my own expenses and cost of doing these events myself. So anything additional that I raise will be going directly to the charities themselves.It would be great to have your support not only for these challenges but knowing that its making a difference to peoples lives around the world. I will look to post updates as the year progresses on how I am doing and as and when the events come up.
