Not All Superheroes Wear Capes
We are a group of friends running the Brighton Marathon for the superheroes that don't come with capes. Inspired by a little superhero who has faced some very big challenges with an amazing amount of resilience and humour, we are running to raise money for the wonderful charities that have looked after her and her family.
Our nominated charities are The Sick Children's Trust (https://www.sickchildrenstrust.org), Little Princess Trust (https://www.littleprincesses.org.uk), Beads of Courage UK (https://beadsofcourageuk.org) and Spread a Smile (https://spreadasmile.org). These charities provide invaluable support and entertainment so children can be children, making serious childhood illness less frightening for them, as well as funding research into these illnesses.
We have chosen this challenge to show our love and raise funds so that the charities and their unsung heroes are there to support other sick children and their families.

WE DID IT!
After months of training and trepidation, we are delighted to say that we all completed the Brighton Marathon, spurred on by the overwhelming and generous support of so many people and the knowledge that the monies raised will truly make a difference to the four charities that we are supporting as well as the families and children that benefit so much from them. Thank you. The sun was shining, the crowds were amazing and we even got cheered on by Fatboy Slim!
A huge thank you to the Sick Children's Trust and Spread A Smile for the kit they sent us which we wore with pride.
