I am taking on the Yorkshire Marathon on Sunday 20th October, my first ever marathon (eek!) in aid of two amazing causes.
I will be running in aid of Tourette's Action and Wakefield Hospice.
As you may well know, Karim (my amazing nephew) has Tourette's and Tourette's Action do a fantastic job at both raising awareness about this condition and supporting those with Tourette's and their families. He is simply inspirational and his love for life and can-do attitude are the only inspiration I need to believe I can complete my 26.2 mile run in October.
I am also raising funds for Wakefield Hospice, a charity I am blessed to work for and see every single day the amazing support they provide for local patients and families from across the Wakefield district, and the hard work and determination every member of staff and volunteers put in to make this happen.
Thank you for any donation you can offer, it really does mean a huge amount to me, and make a huge difference to these two fantastic charities.
