A marathon effort for some great causes!
5014
As many of you will know, I do quite a lot of running! However I have only done 4 marathons before, the last time 6 years ago. This time round I'm trying to beat my personal best of 2 hours 56 minutes and 25 seconds as I head towards a big birthday next year. So on October 20th I will be tackling the Abingdon Marathon and thought it would be great if I could raise some money for a good cause at the same time - or several in fact! My two chosen charities are the Quilter Foundation, which raises money for a number of local UK charities such as the Carers Trust and Honeypot children's Charity. The second is the Rainforest Trust UK, which protects threatened rainforests to save endangered species, safeguard indigenous communities & fight climate change.
I am passionate about both these organisations, and even better, every penny raised with be doubled by both charities. so every pound really counts!
