Ok, so I know a lot of people know me from rugby or from work, but I know a lot of people know me for my beard! A lot of people only know me with a beard in fact my own girlfriend of 7 years has never seen me without a beard! It has been a part of me for over a decade and I get ask all the time what I would look like without a beard or if I would ever shave it off. Well, here is your opportunity to see me all baby faced as I have decided that I will be shaving it all off for one month only! So, on October 31st i will be braving the shave and I will then be taking part in Movember all for charity. Why am I doing this? I am wanting to use this opportunity to raise money for Mind Charity and for Movember, who both do so much for men's mental health. After suffering my own battles with mental health in the past and knowing of others who struggle too, I would love to raise money and awareness of the work they do. Unfortunately, suicide is the leading cause of death for men under the age of 50 in the UK and this needs to change. Nathan at The Men's Room in Edenthorpe has kindly offered his services to shave my beard in different styles as it comes off so keep an eye out on my socials for the video and the photos. I will also be posting weekly updates throughout November of how my moustache is coming along. So, if you are wanting to see me without my beard and see what I am really hiding underneath please donate whatever you can to a really good cause and keep an eye out on my socials for updates. And thank you and more importantly if you are struggling with your mental health remember it’s OK not to be OK! Boys get sad too!
