Hines UK are walking to Houston!
Hines UK are going the distance – specifically, to Houston!
In support of two incredibly worthy charities, both of which are close the hearts of the Hines UK team, we are collectively walking the distance between Grainhouse, our European HQ in London, and Texas Tower, our global HQ in Houston – a staggering 4,848 miles – to raise vital funds for The Compassionate Friends (https://www.tcf.org.uk/) and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance (https://www.tvairambulance.org.uk/).
HUK’s months-long effort will culminate in a half-marathon on Thurs 12th September to complete the final 13 miles of the total – so there is plenty of time to donate! Please support the team in any way you can in aid of these two worthy causes:
The Compassionate Friends is a charitable organization of bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents dedicated to the support and care of other similarly bereaved family members who have suffered the death of a child or children. They offer support, both directly to the bereaved families, and indirectly by fostering understanding and good practice amongst professionals concerned with child death, and by increasing public awareness.
Thames Valley Air Ambulance exists to give everybody within their community of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire the best chance of surviving and recovering from an emergency. Set up in 1999, their helicopters are regularly dispatched from their base at RAF Benson in South Oxfordshire to bring the expertise, equipment and treatment of the hospital to critically ill and injured patients. The paramedics, doctors and pilots onboard work together to deliver the best care, which can include performing critical medical procedures before getting to the hospital, and in 2023, they responded to 3,293 emergencies – their busiest year on record.

We are half way to Houston!
Happy Thursday 🌟, I wanted to share some exciting updates with you all – we’re now 50% to our group target with just under 1 month remaining! 🎯 Amazing progress, everyone! Even more impressive, we now have 14 people who’ve clocked in over 100km overall. Fantastic work! 🚶♂️🚴♀️ This week is shaping up to be a big one, with 4 more people on track to finish their quotas. Let’s cheer them on and keep that momentum going! 🎉 And to those of you who might be trailing a bit behind – don’t worry, there’s still plenty of time to pick up the pace! Just remember, even the tortoise finished the race. 🐢🏁
