Great Glen Challenge

I've been know for doing some crazy things in my time and if I'm going todo something this nuts then other people are going to benefit from my craziness.
This is by far the biggest challenge I have set myself,

In April 2024 I entered my first endurance paddle event which was Race to the castle, a 40lkm paddle along the River Trent from Nottingham to Newark Castle, it was brutal as there was only a slow flow on the river but a 13 to 20mph headwind for about 30km. But after an surprising 6 hours and 36 Minutes I passed the finish line, 12th in my group out of 59 and 59th overall out of 200 competitors.

Then in July 24 came the Trent100 again another endurance paddle on the River Trent, 100km over two days but as a team. A successful paddle in under 15 hours and finishing 11th out of 56 teams. Not bad for someone who is out of shape.

Now the crazy starts, I have for some reason signed up tot he Great Glen Challenge which is a two day paddle from Fort William to Inverness along the Great Glen, this includes sections of the Caledonia canal, Loch Lochy, Loch Oich and the infamous Loch Ness to finish before arriving in Inverness approx. 97km. This will be a challenge as there is no flow to help and the Lochs can easily turn into oceans if the wind is against you. I'm hoping for fair tail winds and good weather.

But if I'm going to do this challenge I decided that some charities are going to benefit.
