Running and raising money

📖 My story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. In 2020 my wife, Gemma, and I started IVF 4 years after trying to start a family. What followed were months of stress, grief, and sadness as we underwent a heartbreaking miscarriage and unsuccessful IVF.
At the start of 2022, Gemma started having epileptic seizures putting our plans for a family on hold. She is currently in the lengthy process of getting her seizures under control with medication and is still waiting to be officially diagnosed. The impact of which has been massive on both of us.
Alongside all of this, we have had to deal with the pressures brought on during the Covid-19 pandemic and come to terms with the tragic passing of Gemma’s dad. I think it is safe to say the last few years have been some of the most challenging we have faced.
That is why I am turning our situation into positive action and running 10km to raise money for the following charities that have helped us throughout our journey so far:

💙 Tommy’s - Dedicated to finding causes and treatments to save babies’ lives as well as providing trusted pregnancy and baby loss information and support.

💜 Epilepsy Research UK - The only charity exclusively dedicated to driving and enabling life changing, life saving research into epilepsy.

🏃‍♂️ The challenge

I am not well known for my love of active sports. I am far more content drinking coffee and listening to music. This is why I am challenging myself to complete a 10km run at Tatton Park in April.
I know times are tough, but I would be really grateful if you could make a donation to help cheer me on, no matter how small. All money raised will be split evenly between my chosen charities and will go towards helping so many people.
If you would like to keep track of my progress over the next few months, please free feel to follow me on Instagram @_bramhill

Many thanks,
Rob xx
