On 02 November 2024 I am running two races at two iconic venues in Scotland. These are 10km at "Run the Runway" at Glasgow Prestwick Airport in the morning THEN 5km "Supernova Forth Road Bridge". This challenge is not just about running, but I also want to make a difference. I will run these 2 races in the aid of 3 charities in Ayrshire - the home of Prestwick airport!

These are incredible cancer related charities – The Beatson, Doing it for Daniel Foundation and Ayrshire Hospice. From the organisers - "These charities hold a special place in our hearts, as we have sadly lost colleagues to cancer and have current staff members who are bravely battling the disease. Beyond our immediate community, we know that cancer touches the lives of so many people, affecting friends, families, and colleagues across the nation and that’s why we want to help make a difference."

Personally, having lost to cancer as well, I feel this is the perfect opportunity to raise some money for great causes whilst combining two of my favourite things - running and plane spotting.
