Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service are excited to announce an incredible opportunity for the crew and staff to come together and support two amazing charities while pushing their physical limits! On 11th July 2024, from 9am to 2pm, we will be hosting a Stairmaster Challenge at JD Gyms Blackburn whereby firefighters and staff will be taking part in this difficult challenge.

The Challenge

We aim to collectively climb 9,000 meters (29,000 feet)*— wearing full firefighting kit, including BA kit, without holding the sides! Each participant will climb as many minutes as possible at level 5 on the Stairmaster. This challenge is not just a test of physical endurance but also a fantastic opportunity to raise funds for a noble cause that provides valuable financial support towards the two chosen charities. *an individual climber will be able to achieve 200 floors (2,000 feet/610metres) in 1 hour.
