After throwing ourselves in at the deep end (literally!) last year with the 5 mile end-to-end swim of Lake Coniston, we've talked ourselves into completing the 'Holy Trinity' of Lake District swims by taking on Lakes Ullswater (7.5 miles) and Windermere (11 miles) this summer. What on earth were we thinking of when we entered?
However, our minds are focussed when we remember why we are doing it. To raise much-needed funds to find a cure for the cruel disease that is Motor Neurone Disease through the work of our chosen charity, the MND Association.
Both of us have friends, family and, of course, sporting heroes who continue to battle or have sadly lost their brave fight with MND. If you can help us in any way, large or small, to further the work of the Association we would be eternally grateful.
