I am going to start this in reverse! I will be racing in this years Bolton Ironman. For those that are not sure what that involves, it’s a 3.8KM swim, 180KM Bike then a marathon to finish all this with a cut off time of 17 hours. I will be aiming for under 14 hours!
Leading up to the race in July, I will be training a lot, with monthly challenges along the way. Although this is a personal challenge I have decided to try and raise some money along this journey.
I will be raising money for 3 outstanding charities. The first charity I will be trying to help is The Trussell Trust, a fantastic charity helping people all across the UK. The second charity I will be trying to help is the Royal British Legion, being a serving soldier within the Royal Regiment of Artillery, and seeing the great work these do to help current serving soldiers and veterans is worth the pain over the next 6 months. The third charity is Dementia UK I will be trying to help this charity for personal reasons.
A special mention to H’s Ices for providing me with my Tri-suit and wetsuit and some much needed sugar treats throughout this journey.
If you can only spare £1 then that will help someone who truly needs it at the end of this journey, thank you for taking the time to read this.

We’re an anti-poverty charity & community of food banks, working together to ensure no one in the UK needs a food bank, while providing practical support for people left without enough money. (Please note we're unable to forward funds onto individual food banks, funds raised here go to Trussell).
