150 Mile Charity Walk!

Walk for Hope: A 150-Mile Pilgrimage for Cancer Research and Great Ormond Street Hospital
On Monday, 8th July, our Chief Operations Officer Michael Hemsley and long-standing team members, Tommy Quartley, Scott Banfield and Tom Fuller will embark on an extraordinary mission. They will hand-deliver a very special box of items from our Perfect Group HQ in Southwater, West Sussex, to our Walsall Branch in the West Midlands. What's truly remarkable about this delivery is that it will be made entirely on foot, covering an impressive distance of 150 miles.

Michael, Tommy, Scott and Tom aim to complete this journey by Saturday, 13th July, walking at least 25 miles each day – essentially a marathon a day! This arduous trek is not just a test of endurance but a heartfelt endeavour to raise funds for two charities that are incredibly close to our hearts: Cancer Research UK and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Our Mission

The journey they are undertaking is much more than a physical challenge; it's a pilgrimage of hope and remembrance. At Perfect Group, we have unfortunately seen firsthand the devastating impact cancer can have on our loved ones, having friends and family members diagnosed and fight this terrible illness. Also, a long-standing and valued member of our Perfect team, Paul Pratley, sadly passed away last year after his brave battle with Cancer. His memory, along with many others affected by cancer, propels us to support Cancer Research UK in their relentless pursuit of a cure.
Great Ormond Street Hospital also holds a special place in our hearts. Our COO, Michael Hemsley, witnessed their incredible care firsthand when he lost a dear friend during childhood. The compassion and dedication of the hospital staff left an indelible mark on him, and ever since, he has wanted to give back to this exceptional institution.
