As I am approaching a milestone birthday this year on 29th June, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to support a couple of charities that are close to my heart.

After working at Donington Fire Station (Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue) for the past 15 years, I have taken the difficult decision to retire. This has not been an easy decision to make, however I feel the time is right to do so.
I’ve had the pleasure to work with some incredible people, especially the crew at Donington - my Fire Family ❤️🚒

⭐️ My 1st charity is The Firefighters Charity
They support serving and retired service personnel, partners and dependants, with any injury, illness or mental health issues. I have seen first hand the support given by the charity to a colleague who suffered a serious injury and his rehabilitation process.

⭐️ My 2nd charity is Cancer Research UK
I would like to fundraise for this charity to enable more research into their mission to beat cancer and discover new tests and treatments. This charity is close to my heart as I have family members and friends who have been diagnosed with cancer and are going through their treatment.

Every penny counts no matter how large or small, and the donations are to be split between the two charities I have chosen. The funds will go directly to the charities.
