Cooking World Cup Food for LQBTQ+/Human Rights
A couple of things about me - I enjoy a themed meal, and I'm also really really into international football tournaments. For the past few competitions I have combined these two love and completed a rather ridiculous and totally self-imposed challenge to cook food from the different competing countries.
This year - I am still super excited about the football, but I am apposed to the involvement of Qatar - from the corruption, to the treatment and deaths of migrant workers and the horrific anti-LGBTQ+ laws, there is so much to be angry about. So I have decided to continue with my silly food challenge but this time use it as a way of raising money for a couple of charities that are doing fantastic work with those at risk in Qatar - Stonewall and Amnesty International. If you are able to make a small, one-off donation during the World Cup it would be very much appreciated, though if can't (and I understand how tough things are at the moment) then please consider sharing what I am doing - the more people who know about it, the more I am likely to raise for these two brilliant organisations. The money will split equally between them.
The rules of the World Cup Food Challenge are:
1. Cook a traditional dish from one of the countries playing on each match day.
2. Don't repeat countries until it's impossible not to....
3. Unless its England and then I will always do England because it might bring bad luck or something if I don't.
4. Make it vegan!
