I am taking part in Aberdeen Kiltwalk 18 mile walk - June Dunecht Dash 5k run - JuneAlford 10k run - JulyBanchory Beast mud run - September (Neuro ward Aberdeen)Supernova Forth Rd bridges 5k run - November(I'll maybe add to this!)
I am hoping to raise a little funds for 3 charities which have providing vital aid for my 10 year old neice Ailsa and her family over the last year. Ailsa has been in care of the Royal Hospital for Children for almost a year receiving treatment for Osteosarcoma bone cancer. Ailsa has endured months of chemotherapy, arm and shoulder amputation, 2 major lung surgeries and on going treatment for blood clots. She has simply endured more procedures and ordeal than any 10 year should ever have to and she has amazed us all with finding strength and resiliance even in the most difficult of days. Ailsa mum, my big sister, Gayle and her family have been in the biggest ever support role throughout and have had a massive upheaval. Relocation from Inverness to Glasgow, new schools, lack of routine, living out of bags, living day to day with no routine and no stability. Calums Cabin, Young Lifes vs Cancer and Les Hoey MBE Dreammaker have all provided aid in different ways and all in invaluable ways to our Gayles family and to Ailsa's care. Banchory beast is a team event which I am doing for Neuro ward Aberdeen. By setting up a group fundraising I hope to split the funds evenly over all 4 chairities.
