My name is Max, a former Army Officer whose military career ended abruptly due to a medical discharge. Throughout my struggles with mental health, one constant has been my passion for motorcycling. Riding my scrambler, Tara, has been a sanctuary, offering peace and forcing me to stay utterly present — truly alive. It was during a solo ride across the Atlas mountains that I realized motorcycling around the world was not just a dream but a necessity for my recovery. This epiphany led me to plan a global pilgrimage to rediscover myself and navigate through the fog of depression towards clearer skies.
This journey is not just for me; it's a mission to raise awareness and funds for two causes close to my heart — the Invictus Games Foundation and Combat Stress. These organizations provide crucial support to servicemen and women facing physical and mental health challenges. By sharing my story and the transformative power of my journey, I aim to inspire donations and support that will empower these veterans to overcome their own battles. Join me as I write this next chapter mile by mile, exploring what life has in store and embracing the present moment. Your support can make a real difference in the lives of those who have served. Let’s ride together for recovery and resilience. If not now, then when?
