The Red Kites group of golfers at Sand Moor Golf Club has been badly affected by cancer in recent years with several members of the group as well as many friends and family having had cancer. Ian Rowlands, Joe Hester, Simon Foster & Shaun Joyce want to contribute a small amount to the fight against cancer by raising funds for 2 cancer charities (50% of funds raised for each charity), Maggies and Candlelighters. For non-golfers, in 4 rounds of golf, we will walk approximately 26 miles. We are planning to start around 5.00 am on Wednesday 19 June and hope to finish by around 8.00pm. We would be extremely grateful if you could spare a small amount of money to support our charities in return for us completing our Marathon.
