Sadly we lost Marion to her cancer battle on September 20th 2022.
She fought hard both in 2016 when she first was diagnosed with Breast cancer, and this time round when we found that it had unfortunately spread and spread rapidly.
Despite losing her physical strength, she remained positive and still found something to smile at even on the hardest of days.
Being the organised woman that she was, she'd planned her funeral a long time ago, and requested that money for flowers is instead donated to Macmillan and Cancer research, two charities who helped her immensely.
She will be missed by all and we are thankful for any donations as they will make a positive impact no matter how big or small.
Thank you
Ailie, Callum, Tom, and all the Starie clan xx

I met Marion at my first antenatal class 27.5 years ago and we remained friends ever since. Our 'babies' ended up in the same classes throughout infant & junior school so our friendship grew stronger through our shared experiences. Marion was always quick to help anyone who needed it, a fun person to be around, and a great friend. I will miss her very much.

Money raised at our sea shanty club event last night by 'guess the number of things in the jar'. All profits are now gladly donated to Marion's fundraising as she was a very special friend of David & Julie Ashton, two of our club members.
