Climate Emergency - Please take action to support relief and rehabilitation projects for the people affected by recent floods in Gilgit Baltistan and Pakistan. A third of Pakistan is under water. 33 million people have been affected and displaced by the floods in Pakistan. These disastrous floods are a direct result of climate change beyond any doubt. Although Pakistan contributes 0.9% to global emission and the vast majority of those affected having NO carbon footprint. A disproportionate impact of climate change has hit people already impoverished and ongoing cloud bursts and the floods now taking away the very little they had, creating a catastrophic situation.
I am supporting Kashmir Development Foundation (KDF) emergency relief and rehabilitation projects in Gilgit Baltistan. KDF is a registered charity in the UK Reg No. 1143891 and Pakistan. They have extensive experience in delivering humanitarian aid within all the regions of the State of Jammu and Kashmir since 1999. Please donate generously to help rebuild lives and livelihoods of the people affected by floods, £30 can help a child to continue education, £50 can feed a family of 4 for a month and £100 can provide emergency shelter to a family.
