Everest base camp trek

Everest base camp trek

I lost my precious mum to motor neurone disease on 25th September 2022. MND is such a cruel disease and it tore my mum away from us in the cruelest of ways and I never want anyone to go through what me and my family went through. I vowed to my mum to continue to be part of the fight to cure this awful illness .

So, I have set myself a BIG challenge!!! by booking to trek to Everest Base Camp and raise as much money as I possibly can for MND. through the My Name5 Doddie Foundation and also for Strathcarron Hospice who provided excellent care to my mum.

The support families receive at strathcarron hospice is incredible and some people really have no idea how much they touch lives. I now want to give a little something back by raising a small sum as a token of our appreciation for all the care and support we as a family received at a very difficult time in our lives.

On the second anniversary of my mums passing, I hope to be standing at 17,600ft at Everest base camp having achieved the biggest challenge of my life and with a special and inspirational person by my side, whom I could not have this done this challenge without. The two charities are very close to our hearts and any donations received are greatly appreciated xxx
