Richard and Lara's Brighton Half Marathon
2375
We are running the Brighton half marathon on 25th February 2024 and are fundraising to raise money to support two brain tumour societies which are involved in helping to support individuals and their families with brain tumours and to fund research into their treatment. This is a very personal cause for us both, having lost close loved ones to brain tumours and also through Lara's work as an occupational therapist working with children who have had a brain tumour diagnosed. All the funds raised through your donations will be split evenly between The Brain Tumour Charity and brainstrust. We have chosen to do this via Ravi's Dream, to support a very special young man fulfil his dream to have a future where tumours like his could be treated without the type of major surgery he went through.
Ravi Adelekan has A Million Dreams. But, at the age of six, his dreams were interrupted by the news that he had a benign tumour in his brain stem. Despite 10 hours of surgery, doctors were not able to remove the whole tumour, and Ravi lives with its effects every day. After learning to walk and feed himself again, and determined to return to his passions of music, maths and sport, Ravi lives his life to the max with bravery, fun and inspirational strength.
Please give generously to help Ravi's Dream come true. And help spread the word via the hashtag #RavisDream.
