I’ve decided to take on a challenge to support 3 incredible charities – Penhaligon’s Friends, Mind Cornwall and Touch Eldoret. From the 18th May I'm planning to run/walk around Cornwall. Starting in Porthtowan I'll head west anticlockwise and finish about two weeks later in Porthtowan. It will involve roughly 360 miles of coastal path including the stretch from Plymouth back to the north coast. I'll be carrying a small tent and all the things I'm going to need for camping along the route.
This is going to be a wonderful way to see our beautiful county. Anyone wanting to join me at any point would be very welcome. I'll provide regular updates via Facebook.
Penhaligon’s Friends - Penhaligon’s Friends’ vision is to provide a countywide bereavement pathway to meet the needs of bereaved children and their families, through increased support resources and education. https://penhaligonsfriends.org.uk/about-our-charity/
Mind Cornwall - Our wellbeing service offers a range of face to face and online, recovery focused groups and activities for people that want to improve their mental health. Working with our community networks, we offer a range of one to one support projects to help people experiencing mental health problems move forward in their recovery. Ensuring that people with lived experience of mental health are involved and influence the ongoing development of mental health services in Cornwall. https://cornwallmind.org/
Touch Eldoret – Touch Eldoret provides educational support to children in Eldoret Kenya. Without this support the children would not receive any form of education. The charity also provides vocational training and grants to establish small businesses.
