Manchester, London & Chicago Marathons!

Many of you will know that I split my time between living in England and living in Lviv.

In my spare time, I am a keen runner and cyclist, having completed a number of marathons, half marathons and long-distance cycling events. In 2024, I have decided to take on my biggest challenge yet.

I have decided to take on the following events:

3rd February 2024 – Hardwick Hobble Half Marathon – 13.1 miles
3rd March 2024 – Cambridge Half Marathon – 13.1 miles
14th April 2024 – Manchester Marathon – 26.2 miles
21st April 2024 – London Marathon – 26.2 miles
25th May 2024 – Ride London – 100 mile cycle ride through London
28th June – 1st July 2024 – London to Amsterdam cycle ride – 292 miles in 3 days
13th October 2024 – Chicago Marathon – 26.2 miles

With further events in England and Ukraine, as they become available.

It is also my intention to run one mile in 2024, for every day that Ukraine has been at war.

As I undertake this challenge, it is my hope that my friends and colleagues will sponsor me, to support two charities that I have chosen, who are working with children in England and in Ukraine.

In Ukraine, I have chosen to support UNICEF.

Millions of children are going to sleep cold and scared and waking up hoping for an end to this brutal war. Children have been killed and injured, and many have lost parents and siblings, their homes, schools and playgrounds. No child should ever have to bear that kind of suffering.

The situation is especially acute for the 3.7 million people who are currently displaced within Ukraine.

UNICEF works around the clock in Ukraine and at the borders of neighbouring countries, providing access to clean water, health care services and other critical support.

With your help, we can help more children and families affected by this crisis.
