Celebrating Our 50th Birthdays with a Challenge! To commemorate this milestone, we decided to set a challenge for ourselves. Tracey was born in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk in October, while Nicky was born 90 miles away in Pembury, Kent the following May.
Our Friendship Has Stood the Test of Time Since 1987 Back in 1987, we crossed paths when we both moved to Steeple Bumpstead, a village in Essex. Fate brought us together as we were placed in the same form at school. Since then, our bond has grown stronger, and we've been there for each other through life's highs and lows. Interestingly, we now reside in the same Suffolk town, cementing our friendship even further.
We joined a local gym earlier this year to promote our fitness and wellbeing. As part of celebrating our birthdays, we have decided to challenge ourselves with a fundraising 90-mile triathlon, which will involve swimming, walking, and cycling, 30 miles of each in the 28 weeks between our birthdays.
While we have many charities that we hold dear, we have chosen to raise funds specifically for the Crohn’s and Colitis Society and RSPCA.
Our mission? To drum up £500 for two amazing charities, splitting the sum between them with £250 each. Every bit helps, so if you can spare a tiny donation, it would mean the world to us and those we're supporting!
